Jennie Nevin Founder, Green Spaces

Jennie is the Founder of Green Spaces, launching the company in May of 2008.  Green Spaces has grown to include over 45 members with hubs in Colorado and New York.   Green Spaces has launched New York’s Green Business Competition in New York City and the Green Route in Denver, Colorado.  Jennie has also founded Green Leaders, one of New York City’s first green networking groups for executives and key change makers.  She is also a Founding Member of NYC Wildflower Week. 


Jennie started her career at Merrill Lynch in their Private Banking and Investment Group as a Senior Investment Specialist in NYC.  She received her undergraduate degree in Finance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2000 and her MBA in New Ventures at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN in 2004.  She has also taken graduate coursework in environmental studies at the Harvard University. 

 

 

Marissa Feinberg Co-Founder, Green Spaces

Marissa has a life-long work history dedicated to the betterment of society and culture. Previously, Marissa did Partnership Development for Felissimo's sustainable design initiatives, building membership to 350 organizations globally. Marissa also worked for the General Electric Foundation, publicizing its community initiatives worldwide.

Marissa has degrees in public relations and marketing from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Through her commitment to cultural iniatives, Marissa also worked in journalism as Managing Editor of Focus Magazine. She has also worked in publishing for Random House and The Princeton Review. During her free time, Marissa dedicates herself to causes and the arts. She is part of Fashion Delivers' Associate Board and has acted in off-Broadway, tv and independent films. Follow her on Twitter @marissafeinberg! 

 

 

Erin Davey, Director, Green Spaces Colorado

Erin is the Director of Green Spaces Colorado, assisting with everything from managing the space to PR, grassroots outreach and green event planning. Hailing from Detroit, Erin is a graduate of Michigan State University where she received her BA in Advertising. Eager to head west, Erin began her career in Denver as Publicity Manager with Tsunami Music Publicity for independent music and festivals. She’s passionate about building the Green Spaces community and excited to to grow this sustainable idea and other green start-ups. 

 

 

 

 

 Gates Minis, Green Spaces Colorado, Deputy Director

Gates Minis is the first Greentern for Green Spaces Colorado and has been working to create a Green Map for Denver and will be working with clients on varying projects.  Originally from Savannah, GA but considers herself a Colorado transplant after attending the University of Colorado where she graduated with a BA in Environmental Studies. After graduation she headed to Washington, DC for 18 months where she worked on Capital Hill and at children’s nonprofit named First Book. But the call of the Colorado Mountains and environmental aware lifestyle was too strong so she came back to Denver via Vail. She has been nearly consumed with finding as many locations for Green Map that has been dubbed Denver’s Green Route. Gates is working on her Masters in Public Adminstration with a concentration on environmental policy, managemnet, and law from the University of Colorado at Denver and will graduate in 2012.
