Youth Challenge America

"Green Spaces has had a fair amount of press... BBC, The New York Times and NY1, to name a few. But what does it really mean to be a 'Green Spacer'? We have a communal friendly atmosphere to conduct our work, our neighbours act as sounding boards, and we have connections to all sorts of businesses and non-profits. We’re all working towards environmental or social causes; everyone knows someone you should talk to! Sharing resources and ideas—the up and coming trend of Social Incubators—is one I hope to see grow exponentially. And if you are starting up a business or non-profit it’s a great way to gain access to knowledge and valuable tips on how to succeed."

-Jane Baldwin, Program Development Manager, Youth Challenge America

"Green Spaces is the kind of workplace President Obama would like more of. It groups together environmentally driven small businesses; green startups that could drive job creation in America."

“I want to thank you immensely… the event proved quite successful. There was a lot of thought leadership developed during the evening; the venue had a lot to do with setting the right tone for that level of discourse.

Crop to Cup

"As the two founders of Crop to Cup Coffee Company, Taylor and myself poured all of our energies, funds and resources into the endeavor. Working from home we had a hard time getting the business to the next level. Home-based businesses face a wide range of challenges; professional, personal and psychological. It's just so hard to feel like a 'real' business without a 'real' office to call home, to meet with clients, and from which you can leave to go home at the end of the day.

Once Taylor found Green Spaces in Brooklyn, he moved in right away. The very next month our revenues rose meteorically, allowing us to hire on staff, bring on new customers, and enter a cycle of positive growth that has sustained to this day. Green Spaces' flexibility and service made it possible for us to move out of our living rooms, and the community they've built has propelled our business' growth. I can honestly say that, without Green Spaces, we'd be out of business. Thank you, Green Spaces. "

- Jake Elster, Co-Founder Crop to Cup Coffee Company.

Sheepless Co

"Finding the community of like-minded entrepreneurs at Green Spaces (Green Spaces included) opened a whole new world of opportunity and inspiration for my business. I had thought that working at home or in coffeeshops was going to be a cost-saving alternative, but it turns out the investment I made in this shared office space has already returned dramatically. Engaging my officemates in formal professional relationships, and supportive and empathetic friendships, has played a huge part in pushing me from a 'freelancer' to a small business owner. As a graphic designer, I was introduced to a whole new client pool, and as an advocate for socially responsible enterprises, it's provided a wealth of resources and subjects to profile and be inspired by."
