Green Spaces Invites You to Pitch at...
"Meet the Press! Where Social Innovators Get Noticed"

Hosted by Rod Kurtz, HuffPost Small Business Executive Editor, and Tamara Schweitzer, Dowser and Socialbrite Contributing Writer

While entrepreneurs are some of the most innovative people in our world today, many of them need help getting the word out. Green Spaces "Meet the Press! Where Social Innovators Get Noticed," series will enable startups to 1) learn what the host journalist's publication looks for in a story and 2) get a solid critique of their pitch.

Join us Thurs., 2/23, 7-9 PM @GreenSpacesNY, 394 Broadway, 5th fl. Fill out the form below to submit your pitch. Click here for a ticket.* Five presenters will be selected to pitch, announced at the event

Ideally, the winning pitch(es) will be featured, but that is up to the reporter! Think HEADLINES. What is the NEWS or ANGLE? Journalists look for:

  • What will be new or interesting to readers?
  • What action or decisions will readers make differently because they've heard this story?
  • How does your organization relate to timely news or events (like the elections, for example)?
  • How does your company fit into industry trends? What supporting facts/figures do you have?
Get it? If not, join our teleclass about creating story angles or click here for a summary of what it teaches. Taught by Green Spaces co-founder Marissa Feinberg, it is offered Tuesday 2/21 at 12pm. Call (605) 475-4825 and enter participant access code 1005012#. Click here for Marissa's PR cred.
